ECTS: 10
SCHEDULE: WED 14.30-20.30
GREEN METROPOLITICAN INFRAESTRUCTURE
BIODIVERSITY, CONNECTIVITY & PRODUCTION
In this subject, the territorial scale is introduced into landscape design. We explain the innovations that are involved, morphological and environmental analysis, the nature of landscape design and its tools, and management of the project.
Each team will be responsible for a specific analysis of the site, focused on biodiversity, connectivity and production. They have to create a master plan based on the conclusions of their analysis. The master plan should reassess the site with a deep understanding of topography, water dynamics, management, vegetation, biological corridors, routes and uses.
Each group chooses a specific area of the master plan to develop an additional definition of the project with some detailed solutions that meet the objectives established in the master plan.
The workshop is focused on landscapes under transformation at mid-scale. It covers areas with obsolete activities that need to be reinvented, as well as areas that are undergoing major changes that question the initial territorial identity.
