The subject of the course deals with the study and The subject of the course deals with the study and practice of drawing and graphical representation as an instrument of development and representation of landscape design and for research and discussion of the discipline.

Visits to build designs enable to develop the critical approach to the design of basic arguments and ideas, to its carrying out and social reception.

Lessons structure the course by the study of ancient, modern and contemporary projects of local and international landscape design, using graphic exercises of increasing scale, duration, and difficulty.

Based on specific authors or periods, the course tries to examine the diversity of techniques and modes of representation and their implications in the way of thinking and planning. It also addresses the need to incorporate time and processes (or landscape dynamics) to our representations. The conceptual relationship with analysis understands it as a tool for the discipline.

Throughout the course, students will learn to express the design process and to elicit information from it.

To draw or work with images is to think by doing.
